Our Ethos

Our logo captures the vision for our school. The sphere represents our school and its connectedness with the world in which we live and learn.

With relationships represented by the heart at the centre of our world, everything is possible in our 21st Century learning and listening school. As a restorative school, we believe that relationships are at the heart of wellbeing and learning. The heart also represents our values of respect, kindness and empathy. Our values will infuse everything we do, helping everybody to be their best self.

Creativity, curiosity and collaboration in learning are paramount to developing the critical thinking skills of our young people and to their enjoyment of life. Team-work and collaboration are captured in the image of the three people.

The curriculum offered is engaging and developmental, appropriately technology-mediated and informed by international effective practice for today’s world. This is reflected through the symbols of the book and the tablet.

We will support our students to achieve personally, socially, academically, spiritually and culturally, in order to be active citizens in their communities and beyond. Sport, culture and hobbies are shown through the artist’s paint palette, the basketball and the drama mask with music being exemplified by the musical notes. The fireworks represent achievement, fun and celebration as our young people journey through secondary school.

As an Educate Together Secondary School, we are co-educational, equality-based, democratic and student-centred. We are passionate about the education of our young people to ensure that they have the knowledge, understanding, skills and values to best support them to be happy and healthy as they navigate their 21st Century world.
