The COVID 19 restrictions may have put a damper on the School Community Association (SCA) Interim Committee’s plans for the remainder of the school year but we made good progress nonetheless in setting ourselves up as a proper Committee and organising a number of events to support our wonderful school.

We held our first event in October where we introduced ourselves to the rest of the school community, explained who we were and got to socialise with everyone (raised €46.75). After that we had the very popular raffle and bake sale at the 1st Years Progress Meeting (raised €322.80), The last event we held was our Pancake Tuesday event (raised €240) for the students and I really think if we don’t do this again, we’ll have some upset students to contend with! Overall (with expenses taken out) we raised €555.00. Our main fundraising event, which we intended to hold in May, had to be cancelled.
We were very fortunate to get such great help and support from members of the school team, Claire, Áine and Andrew, our school’s BOM chairperson Conor and Carol our school secretary. A big thank you too to our pupils, parents and guardians for their support.
