We opened on Monday, 27th August, to our wonderful group of First Year students, their parents/guardians and friends of the school!
There was such excitement as we gathered outside before cutting the ribbon and declaring the school open. This day marked the start of a particularly important chapter in the lives of the school community as we anticipate the learning, creativity and achievement that will be experienced by so many that will come through our doors. We were delighted to have Paul Rowe, CEO of Educate Together, join us on the day and share his thoughts on what a historical day it is for the community in Firhouse as well as the contribution that our school, and the other three new Educate Together Secondary Schools (Dublin South City ETSS, Limerick ETSS and Malahide Portmarnock ETSS) that opened this August, will make to education nationally.
Our sincere thanks to everybody that was involved in the initial set-up of the school and in preparation for our opening. A big thank you to those that brought beautiful cakes to add to the sense of celebration as we shared our hopes for the school over some refreshments together.
